Well, what an exciting month this is for us here at Lifestyle. It’s hard to believe we are celebrating our 75th edition; where does the time go? Or is that just a sign of age?
Over the years we have seen numerous celebrities grace our pages, have reviewed some amazing restaurants and have been proud to showcase some of the incredible people and places our region has to offer.
Needless to say, we are not letting this, by no means insignificant, landmark go to our heads and will be continuing to bring you the latest news, events and features. So, back to the February edition...
Well, I think our front cover alone sets the tone. The talented Daniel Craig gazes out at you this month and in our feature on the famous actor he talks about his latest film, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, the price of fame and, of course, the new Bond movie, Skyfall.
We also have a look at the latest foreign crime drama to hit our shores with some ferocity - Romanzo Criminale. An Italian show refelecting the Roman gang culture of the 1970s onwards, it has made quite an impact.
We also offer, for your delectation, an interview with musical duo The Ting Tings, who explain why they initially pulled the plug on their second album before discovering fresh inspiration.
This month we have not one but two area features. We take a look at the people and places behind bustling Park View in Whitley Bay, followed by a look at the fantastic businesses who call the wider Whitley Bay area home. There’s a lot to read!
As always, we have news, reviews, listings and recommendations galore and want to take this time to thank all our readers for helping us reach our 75th edition and look foward to the next 75 and beyond.
