A wonderful performance of the much-loved classic TV comedy, made all the more poignant by this year's centenary since the end of the First World War.
Superb performances tonight from the three main actors; Blackadder, Baldrick and George. Special mention must go out for excellent portrayals of General Melchet, Lord Flashart and the Red Baron. Many are Peoples Theatre regulars who give outstanding performances every time whether doing leading or supporting roles. The show took four classic episodes and rolled them into one great night's entertainment.
Highlights were George in drag, Baldrick's slug balancing impression of Charlie Chaplain, Blackadder with pants on his head and pencils up his nose pretending to be mad, Baldrick doing his poetry and Lord Melchet making a complete hash of running a war.
An incredible evening, with lots of belly laughs. Everyone went home smiling. Highly recommended
